Healthwise Optimum Massage is looking for Full-time and Part-time Registered Acupuncturist to join our incredible team!

Our commercial clinic is located at Keswick Square 17321 Hiller Road SW, Edmonton, Alberta, in the growing neighborhoods of Windermere, Keswick, Langdale, Ambleside and Glenridding areas located in Southwest Edmonton.

We strive to provide exceptional customer service with integrity and professionalism to attract high quality, loyal repeat clients and build strong referral relationships. Our clinic offers therapeutic, deep tissue, pregnancy, dynamic cupping, sports, hot stone, reflexology, relaxation, table Thai oil, head/neck/face massages as well as acupuncture. More modalities will be added as the company grows.

We are looking for a highly motivated massage therapist who is energetic, professional, honest, caring, and can offer an exceptional patient experience.

SKILLS:

Communication Skills – Listen carefully to clients in orders to understand what they want to achieve through acupuncture sessions.

Decision Making Skills – Evaluate each client’s needs and recommend the best treatment based on that person’s needs.

Empathy – Give clients a positive experience which requires in building trust between client and therapist. Making clients feel comfortable is necessary to expand client base.

Physically fit – Ability to execute daily massage appointments with optimal performance, endurance and strength.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Diagnose the diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients and treat them by the insertion of acupuncture needles or through simulation techniques.

– Identify correct anatomical and proportional point locations based on patient’s anatomy and positions, contraindications and precautions related to treatments.

– Maintain and follow standard quality, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.

– Assist in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy & acupuncture on a regular basis.

– Provide treatment plans for their clients.

– Provide own industry specific supplies (herbs, needles, etc.)

– Prepare forms for clients to fill-out and then save into the system.

– Practitioner after the session manages direct billing, invoicing, and rebooking appointments and implement monthly promotions.

– Sanitize the room, washroom and laundry service for linens and preparing room for the next appointment.

– Provide client wellness chart accurately and completely through online app after each treatment.

– Practitioner will be willing to work Saturday or Sunday, plus weekdays/evening.

– Follow all practice, protocols, clinic policies and procedures.

Requirements:

– Diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

– Must be a member in good standing with the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta

– Professional liability and malpractice insurance

– Current CPR certification

– Willing and interested in learning new therapeutic approaches

– At least two years of experience is preferred

– Ability to provide an excellent acupuncture treatment

– Motivated to work as part of a team of registered massage therapists, and acupuncturists

– Knowledge with medical documentation, insurance billing, and electronic health records
